Verstappen wint twee races tijdens speciaal simracetoernooi

Max Verstappen nam gisteravond weer deel aan een serie simraces. De Nederlandse wereldkampioen Formule 1 kwam namelijk weer in actie tijdens het toernooi 'Real Racers Never Quit'. Dat ging zeker niet slecht, want Verstappen wist meerdere races te winnen tijdens deze tweede ronde.

Samen met zijn vrienden van Team Redline organiseert Verstappen het toernooi dat bestaat uit meerdere raceweekenden. Verstappen neemt het hier op tegen een aantal professionele coureurs en een grote hoeveelheid simracers. Gisteravond werden er twee rondes van dit kampioenschap verreden en dat ging zeer goed voor Verstappen. Hij wist er namelijk twee races te winnen tijdens het evenement.

Silverstone

Tijdens de eerste race namen alle coureurs plaats achter het stuur van een virtuele Formule 3-auto. Ze reden op Silverstone en dat ging zeer goed. Verstappen begon de race vanaf de vierde plaats en na een fel duel met Chris Lulham wist hij de leiding te pakken. Verstappen werd opgejaagd door zijn concurrenten, maar de Red Bull Racing-coureur hield zijn hoofd koel en hij kwam als winnaar over de streep.

Mugello

Voor de tweede race van het weekend kropen de coureurs in een virtuele Formule 4-auto. Op het circuit van Mugello werden er twee heats verreden die allebei vijftien minuten duurden. Tijdens de eerste heat vertrok Verstappen vanaf de pole position en hij vocht wederom een duel uit met Lulham. Hij bleef weer kalm en Verstappen won zijn tweede race van de dag. In de tweede heat startte Verstappen in het middenveld, maar hij vocht zichzelf weer naar voren. De wedstrijd eindigde met een driestrijd die pas werd beslist op de lijn. Verstappen werd derde.
