Verstappen liet zich zien: "Max was gemotiveerder dan ooit in 2023"

Max Verstappen werd afgelopen jaar met speels gemak wereldkampioen in de Formule 1. De Nederlander liet indrukwekkende dingen zien en hij maakte vrijwel geen fouten. Bradley Scanes was vorig jaar Verstappens trainer en hij zag dat de coureur gemotiveerder was dan ooit.

Verstappen werd vorig jaar voor het derde seizoen op rij wereldkampioen in de Formule 1. De Nederlandse Red Bull-coureur verbrak een grote hoeveelheid records in het seizoen en hij schreef ook negentien Grands Prix op zijn naam. Ook dit was een record en Verstappen ontving zeer veel lof. Hij ging na het binnenslepen van zijn wereldtitel rustig verder met het winnen van races.

Tot en met vorig jaar werkte Verstappen samen met personal trainer Bradley Scanes. De Britse trainer maakte Verstappen van dichtbij mee en hij zag iets bijzonders tijdens het afgelopen seizoen. In de podcast 'The Red Flags' legt Scanes het uit: "Het gaat om de flexibiliteit en het aanpassingsvermogen. Je weet, Max wordt geïnterviewd door twee of drie verschillende tv-stations op de grid of misschien gebeurt er dan iets met de auto. Hij stapt de auto in en hij rijdt precies hetzelfde, het maakt niet uit wat er aan de hand is. Was het moeilijk om hem gemotiveerd te houden? Nee, hij was in 2023 gemotiveerder dan ooit."
