Davide Rigon houdt reservebank bij Ferrari bezet in 2012 en 2013

Ferrari heeft een nieuwe overeenkomst gesloten met Davide Rigon. De Italiaan is door de Scuderia op te roepen voor demonstraties en indien nodig races. Rigon verlengde zijn contract bij de Italiaanse renstal tot eind 2013.

Rigon: “Ik ben heel blij met deze nieuwe verbintenis bij het belangrijkste Formule 1-team. Dit is een impuls voor mijn toekomst na een moeizaam 2011. Ferrari heeft me altijd gesteund in mijn herstel na een ongeluk in mei en hopelijk kan ik dat vertrouwen terug betalen.”

Ferrari zwaaide een andere reserve uit. Jules Bianchi doet dit jaar ervaring op als vrijdagcoureur bij Force India. Hij blijft onderdeel uitmaken van de Ferrari Driver Academy, evenals Sergio Perez, Raffaele Marciello, Brandon Maisano en Lance Stroll.

      Er bestaan nog andere opstapklasses naar F1 dan de GP 2 of World series by renault he.

      Davide Rigon Kampioen in Italiaanse Formule 3 kampioenschap 2007
      Kampioen in 2008 en 2010 in Super League Formula.
      Ok niet de meest toonaangevende klasses maar bon, tis maar ter info

      Kampioen EURO 3000 in 2007. Superleague kampioen in 2008 en 2010.
      AL 3de jaar reserve- , ontwikkelings- en testtijder bij Ferrari F1. Verricht veel werk voor Ferrari in simulator en ook daar de referentie.
      Zeer snel, vergelijkbare met Vettel en generatiegenoot en goede vriend van Vettel.

    Even serieus Rudi? Maak je nu een grapje of ken je hem echt niet?

    Dit is dus nu juist zo iemand die ik best wel eens in een F1 wagen wil zien en hoop dat hij ook een kans krijgt om als racer te debuteren i.p.v. een grijze Petrov, uitgebluste Trulli of de veldvullende Karthikeyan.

      Die naam serieus nog nooit eerder tegengekomen, maar moet ook zeggen dat ik naast F1, GP2 en GP3 niks volg. Ik zal na bovenstaande verhalen eens beter opletten als ik die naam ergens tegenkom.
