Het Formule 1-seizoen 2012 is aanbeland bij het twintigste en laatste raceweekend van de jaargang. Het circuit van Interlagos is de locatie voor de Grand Prix van Brazilië. De baan is 4.309 meter lang en telt vijftien bochten, waarvan tien naar links. Ter voorbeschouwing op de Grand Prix van Brazilië een oud rondje onboard over Interlagos met Ferrari-rijder Fernando Alonso, toen nog voor Renault uitkomend, met tekst en uitleg van oud-coureur en commentator Martin Brundle.
