Toro Rosso met logo van Kullunna Khalifa op de STR8

Scuderia Toro Rosso rijdt dit weekend in Abu Dhabi met een opvallende boodschap op de auto's. De STR8's van Daniel Ricciardo en Jean-Eric Vergne zijn voorzien van het logo van Kullunna Khalifa. Dat betekent 'We zijn allemaal Khalifa' en is bedoeld om de inwoners van de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten te verenigen.

Het is geïnitieerd door International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC), een van de partners van Toro Rosso. IPIC-directeur Khadem El Qubaisa: "Wij dragen Kullunna Khalifa hoog in het vaandel en we beschouwen dit als de ideale gelegenheid om de trots op de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten uit te dragen. De Grand Prix van Abu Dhabi is een fantastisch evenement voor iedereen in dit land. Het heeft Abu Dhabi op de kaart gezet en elk jaar werken mensen keihard om het in goede banen te leiden."
