F3-kampioen Martins komend seizoen in F2 voor ART GP

F3-kampioen Victor Martins stroomt in 2023 door naar de Formule 2. De Fransman wordt gepromoveerd door zijn eigen werkgever ART Grand Prix, dat ook in de klasse net onder de Formule 1 uitkomt. Martins komt naast Theo Pourchaire te rijden, die in 2022 vice-kampioen werd in de F2 achter Felipe Drugovich.

De 21-jarige Martins won in 2022 de F3-titel met onder andere twee overwinningen en vier tweede plaatsen. In 2021 kwam de jonge coureur ook al uit in de Formule 3. Toen kwam Martins uit voor het Nederlandse team van MP Motorsport.

Martins is onderdeel van het juniorprogramma van Alpine sinds 2021 - voorheen Renault. In het verleden won de ART Grand Prix-rijder ook de Renault Eurocup en meerdere karttitels.
