Aron wint ook tweede race op Zandvoort, Troitckii krijgt zege in race 3

Ralf Aron en Nikita Troitckii hebben de tweede en derde races van het Europees kampioenschap Formule 3 op hun naam geschreven. Aron won daarmee zijn tweede race van het weekend, Troitckii kreeg zijn eerste zege cadeau omdat Dan Ticktum een straf kreeg en daarna uitviel.

Aron besliste de tweede race al bij de start. Hij kwam beter weg dan polesitter Ticktum en zat bij het ingaan van de Tarzanbocht naast hem. Ook Mick Schumacher meldde zich in dezelfde linie, maar hij was de verliezer van het moment. De Duitser werd het grind ingetikt door Ticktum, die op zijn beurt al in aanraking was gekomen met Aron. Het bood Marcus Armstrong de kans om door te stoten naar positie 2, terwijl Guan Yu Zhou naar P3 klom en Ticktum terugviel. De Red Bull-junior werd uiteindelijk zesde, nog achter Alex Palou en Ferdinand Habsburg.

Ticktum startte de derde race ook van pole position en ook deze keer kon hij die niet verzilveren. Hij startte te vroeg en kreeg daarvoor een drive-through penalty. Troitckii erfde daardoor de leiding, nadat hij bij de start al een plekje opschoof. Jüri Vips kwam namelijk niet van zijn plek weg. De race werd later voortijdig afgebroken, omdat Julian Hansen zijn auto in de grindbak parkeerde. Het opruimen van de auto kon niet snel genoeg gebeuren, waardoor de rode vlag gezwaaid werd. Troitckii, Zhou en Jehan Daruvala scoorden dan wel podiumplaatsen, maar kregen daar slechts halve punten voor.

  Doe maar niet Hawke. Die crash in race drie gebeurde voor m'n neus, en de Manitou kon niet eens de grindbak doorkomen, die kwam vast te zitten.
  Dat heeft bij elkaar zo'n 10 minuten geduurd, voordat een Navara de F3 met een lier naar beneden trok..

Wat een saaie races zeg... Het heeft wel wat dat zitten op de duinen maar er valt serieus nergens onderhoud kenmerkingen te vinden. Ook om de DTM te behouden heeft het circuit een miljoenen update nodig als je het mij vraagt... Gewoon jammer hoe het ooit zo moderne circuit verouderd is tot een visueel vergelijk als de ruïne tribune van Reims-Gueux

Wat een beroepsamateurs zijn het toch, hoe moeilijk is het om een gestrande auto weg te halen.
Zaterdag bij de DTM duurde het ook veel te lang, er moest eerst een vrachtwagen een halve ronde afleggen en zijn steunpootjes uit zetten om een auto op te laden, en zondag was helemaal belachelijk, een race vroegtijdig afvlaggen omdat men een auto gewoon niet uit de grindbak krijgt.
En volgens mij werd ook nog het verkeerde volkslied gespeeld bij de podiumceremonie, want Troitckii stond constant met zijn hoofd nee te schudden.
