Venturi kiest voor Nick Heidfeld en Stephane Sarrazin

Een volgend Formule E-team heeft haar line-up voor het eerste seizoen van de nieuwe elektrische klasse bekend gemaakt. Nick Heidfeld en Stephane Sarrazin zullen de eer van Venturi verdedigen. Heidfeld en Sarrazin zijn allebei zeer ervaren coureurs, beiden met ervaring in de Formule 1.

Heidfeld: "De Formule E is nieuw en nieuw betekent vaak opwindend. Het voelt speciaal om onderdeel uit te maken van de eerste stappen in het racen van de toekomst. Toen ik begon met karten had niemand het nog over duurzame energie. Als je zoals ik al heel lang in de autosport actief ben, dan ga je alles met elkaar vergelijken. Die ervaring hoop ik aan te spreken om het team vooruit te helpen en om op een hoog niveau te presteren."

Sarrazin: "Het is geweldig om de start van dit nieuwe kampioenschap mee te maken. Ik ben opgewonden en gemotiveerd om in een geheel nieuwe auto met vooruitstrevende technologie te kruipen. Daar komt nog bij dat we op stratencircuits racen en dat belooft veel mooie gevechten tussen topcoureurs. Dit is een fantastische manier om bewustzijn over elektrische voertuigen te kweken. Dit is de toekomst."
