Buemi noteert snelste tijd op eerst testdag

De voorbereiding op het tweede Formule E-seizoen is officieel van start gegaan met een testdag op het circuit van Donington Park. Het was Sebastien Buemi van Renault e.Dams die de snelste tijd realiseerde met een 1:32.095. Lucas di Grassi was met een 1:32.158 niet ver weg.

Het was de eerste test met de nieuwe aandrijflijnen. Acht van de tien teams hebben een eigen aandrijflijn gefabriceerd. De teams van Andretti en Trulli kwamen gisteren nog niet in actie met het nieuwe materiaal, maar de verwachting is dat ze vandaag wel kilometers kunnen maken.

Het betrof het officiële testdebuut van Jacques Villeneuve in de Formule E. De Canadees, wereldkampioen Formule 1 van 1997, heeft voor komend seizoen bij Venturi getekend. Hij klokte de veertiende tijd met een 1:38.176.

Om een beeld te krijgen van hoe de aandrijflijnen zich tot elkaar verhouden (en dus hoe spannend het komende seizoen gaat worden) zou het wel handig zijn om bij de artikelen over deze tests een volledige lijst met tijden te publiceren.

  Qua rondetijden zijn ze dus vergelijkbaar met de Formule Ford. De tijden tot nu toe zijn ook nog iets langzamer dan aan het einde van de testperiode vorig jaar. Deze klasse heeft toch nog wel een beetje meer vermogen nodig vind ik.

Waar Max te jong is volgens Villeneuve is hij blijkbaar te oud. :) Hij is niet alleen 14e, hij is stijf laatste op meer dan 6 secondes van Buemi. Hoop voor opa Jacques dat hij dichterbij weet te komen vanaf nu, anders ziet het er wel sneu uit.

  @Wouter666: daar zitten jullie Max-lovers echt op te wachten he. Iedereen die ook maar een heel klein beetje in de verste verte een nuance aanbrengt rond Max, moet branden van jullie. Zielig.

  En nu dat Villeneuve op P2 staat nadat de ochtendsessie van de 2e test afgerond was?
  
  Zoals JV Fan en Eau Rouge al zeiden, dit zijn tests, kijk ook eventjes voor de gein van Piquet Jr staat. Hij is regerend Wereldkampioen ;)
