Opening seizoen twee in Beijing uitgesteld

Het tweede Formule E-seizoen vangt een week later aan dan oorspronkelijk gepland. In plaats van op 17 oktober vindt de eerste race van de nieuwe jaargang op 24 oktober plaats in Beijing. In het weekend van 16 tot en met 18 oktober vinden in het Olympisch Park al andere activiteiten plaats.

Formule E-baas Alejandro Agag: "Hoewel het spijtig is dat we de opening van ons tweede seizoen uit hebben moeten stellen, begrijpen we de logistieke uitdagingen die opdoemen met meerdere evenementen op dezelfde locatie. Samen met onze partners en de autoriteiten zijn we tot de conclusie gekomen dat het verstandig zou zijn om de eerste race dan maar een week te verplaatsen. We hebben er alle vertrouwen dat het ondanks de nieuwe datum Beijing gastheer zal zijn voor een spetterend begin van het seizoen 2015/2016."
