Berlijn op zoek naar andere locatie voor ePrix

De ePrix in Berlijn is twijfelachtig door de vluchtelingencrisis waar Europa mee kampt. De organisatie moet waarschijnlijk op zoek naar een andere locatie voor de Formule E-race. De Duitse overheid heeft het voormalig vliegveld Tempelhof namelijk omgedoopt tot vluchtelingenkamp.

Formule E-baas Alejandro Agag liet aan Motorsport.com weten: "We staan in contact met de lokale autoriteiten en nemen in de komende weken een beslissing. We steunen elk besluit van de Duitse regering gedurende deze enorme humanitaire operatie. Duitsland blijft een vitale markt voor de Formule E en we evalueren alle opties om daar een race te organiseren."

De ePrix in Berlijn staat gepland voor 21 mei 2016.

Die vluchtelingen kunnen toch wel een weekje ergens anders ondergebracht worden. Begin er langzamerhand wel klaar mee te worden dat alles aangepast moet worden aan de vluchtelingen
