ePrix op een ingekort circuit van Mexico City

De Formule E-organisatie heeft Mexico toegevoegd aan de kalender voor het seizoen 2015/2016. Een ingekort Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez te Mexico City zal op 12 maart 2016 de locatie vormen voor de vijfde ronde in de tweede jaargang van de elektrische raceklasse.

De internationale autosportbond FIA moet dit in december nog wel even goedkeuren. Formule E-baas Alejandro Agag: "We zijn verguld om met de Formule E naar Mexico te gaan. Mexico City is een van de grootste steden ter wereld, met een rijke geschiedenis en passie voor autosport. Ik heb er alle vertrouwen in dat de fans voor een prachtige sfeer zullen zorgen en dat de ePrix in Mexico City een van de meest memorabele evenementen van het seizoen zal zijn."
