Buemi en Prost ook volgend seizoen bij Renault e.Dams

Na de bevestiging van Lucas di Grassi bij het team van Abt heeft ook Renault e.Dams de line-up voor het Formule E-seizoen 2016 / 2017 bekend gemaakt. Net als de afgelopen twee jaar gaan de Fransen door met voormalig Toro Rosso-coureur Sebastien Buemi en Nicolas Prost, de zoon van viervoudig wereldkampioen Alain Prost.

Vorig jaar won Renault e.Dams de titel bij de constructeurs. Ook dit jaar maakt het team goede kansen op die titel en is Sebastien Buemi ook nog in de race voor de titel bij de coureurs. Buemi kijkt momenteel aan tegen een achterstand van elf punten op zijn rivaal Lucas di Grassi. Buemi heeft vooral punten laten liggen door zijn matige optredens in de kwalificatie.

Buemi pakte dit jaar twee zeges, teamgenoot Prost wacht nog op zijn eerste zege. Buemi kan zijn aspiraties voor de titel vandaag al nieuw leven in blazen: vanmiddag wordt namelijk de een na laatste ePrix van het seizoen verreden: de ePrix van Parijs.
