Dragon Racing heeft voor het derde Formule E-seizoen een alliantie gesmeed met Faraday Future. De auto's van de Amerikaanse renstal krijgen een ander uiterlijk en het team gaat nauw samenwerken met de producent van elektrische voertuigen. Bij Faraday Future is sinds kort een oude bekende werkzaam, oud Ferrari-teambaas Marco Mattiacci. Dragon Racing bevestigde Loïc Duval en Jerome D'Ambrosio als coureurs voor de jaargang 2016/2017.
