Chinese investeerder pompt geld in Formule E

CMC Capital Partners, een investeringsmaatschappij uit China, heeft een belang genomen in de Formule E. De elektrische raceklasse heeft een deel van de aandelen overgedragen aan CMC. Het fonds beheert de belangen voor investeerders uit diverse segmenten als media en entertainment, sport, lifestyle en internet en mobiel.

Formule E-baas Alejandro Agag: "We zijn verguld om CMC Capital Partners toe te voegen aan de alsmaar langer wordende lijst van investeerders voor de Formule E en de elektrische revolutie. China is een belangrijke speler in het potentieel van de vervaardiging van elektrische voertuigen. Deze samenwerking versterkt onze intentie om duurzame mobiliteit te promoten in Azië. De openingsronde van ons kampioenschap heeft al meermaals in deze regio plaatsgevonden, zoals in Beijing en Hong Kong. We kijken ernaar uit om nauw samen te werken met CMC en het profiel van de Formule E over de gehele wereld te vergroten."
