Jani aan de slag bij Faraday Future Dragon Racing

Neel Jani maakt komend seizoen zijn debuut in de Formule E. De 33-jarige Zwitser heeft zich verbonden aan het team van Faraday Future Dragon Racing. Jani was de voorbije jaren namens Porsche actief in de LMP1-klasse in het World Endurance Championship.

Porsche stopt na dit jaar met dat project en treedt per seizoen 2019/2020 zelf toe tot de Formule E. Het is dan ook niet ondenkbaar dat Jani een vooruitgeschoven pion voor het Duitse merk is om alvast de belangrijkste facetten van de elektrische klasse in kaart te brengen en onder de knie te krijgen.
