Prost en Whitmarsh in adviesraad voor Formule E

De Formule E richt een nieuwe adviesraad op, de zogenaamde Global Advisory Board. Die adviesraad moet de elektrische klasse helpen bij het bepalen van een richting voor de toekomst. De raad bestaat uit grote namen uit diverse sectoren en moet input geven op gebied van duurzaamheid, media en business.

Oud Formule 1-coureur Alain Prost is een van de leden van de adviesraad, net als voormalig McLaren-teambaas Martin Whitmarsh. Zij krijgen gezelschap van Formule E-baas Alejandro Agag, Formule E-kampioen Lucas di Grassi, Christiana Figueres (verantwoordelijk voor het klimaatverdrag van Parijs), Charles Chao (baas van SINA), Gerd Mauser (voorzitter van Jaguar Racing) en Marco Parroni (hoofd marketing bij Julius Baer).

Prost: "Ik ben trots om onderdeel uit te maken van deze nieuwe beweging binnen de Formule E en om samen te werken met Christiana in de Global Advisery Board. Ik ben er vanaf het begin bij geweest in de Formule E en ik heb met eigen ogen mogen aanschouwen hoe de serie gegroeid is en zich ontwikkeld heeft. Niet alleen als kampioenschap, maar ook qua impact die het op de auto-industrie heeft. Ik verheug me op de samenwerking met de overige leden in de adviesraad om de positie van Formule E als pionier in de elektrische revolutie te waarborgen."

jaar of 10 misschien 15 dan is de FE de nieuwe F1

  nope. Marketing technisch gezien zal de FIA/Liberty de F1 als hoofdklasse aanhouden. FE zal een soort GP2 eenheidsworst klasse worden is mijn verwachting.
