TAG Heuer verlengt samenwerking met Formule E

Horlogemaker TAG Heuer heeft besloten om de samenwerking met het FIA Formule E-kampioenschap te verlengen. Ook de komende jaren zal het Zwitserse bedrijf de officiële tijdwaarnemer van het elektrische kampioenschap zijn.

Sinds de oprichting van de Formule E in 2014 is TAG Heuer al als tijdwaarnemer verbonden aan de raceklasse, die momenteel bezig is aan haar vierde seizoen. De bekendmaking van de nieuwe deal vond plaats tijdens de autosalon van Genève, tegelijkertijd met de onthulling van de tweede generatie Formule E-auto's.

Formule E-oprichter Alejandro Agag reageerde op de verlenging van de samenwerking en roemt het geloof dat de horlogemaker heeft in zijn raceklasse. "TAG Heuer werkt al met de Formule E sinds het begin en ze geloofden in ons, nog voordat we überhaupt een ronde gereden hadden. Als officiële en oprichtingspartner ben ik blij dat we onze langlopende en succesvolle samenwerking met TAG Heuer voort kunnen zetten. Autosport draait om timing en precisie en wij vertrouwen op de expertise van TAG als officiële tijdwaarnemer."
