De la Rosa sportief en technisch adviseur bij Techeetah

Oud Formule 1-coureur Pedro de la Rosa heeft zich als sportief en technisch adviseur aan het team van Techeetah verbonden. Dat heeft de renstal in de aanloop naar de ePrix van Rome van komend weekend bekendgemaakt. De la Rosa was tussen 1999 en 2014 actief in de wereld der Formule 1, voornamelijk als testrijder.

De Spanjaard zegt over zijn nieuwe rol bij Techeetah: "Ik ben dol van vreugde met mijn aanstelling als sportief en technisch adviseur van Techeetah. Het team is het huidige seizoen uitstekend begonnen en voert zowel het kampioenschap voor coureurs als het kampioenschap voor de teams aan op dit moment. Echter, er zijn nog genoeg aspecten voor verbetering vatbaar en als team zullen we nooit de oppositie of de uitdagingen onderschatten."

"Ik kijk ernaar uit om mijn ervaring en technische kennis aan te spreken bij Techeetah in de hoop het team een competitief voordeel te verschaffen. Vanaf Rome ga ik met het team en de coureurs samenwerken om voort te borduren op de reeds behaalde successen. De Formule E is nu echt volwassen aan het worden en het is een significante en relevante aanwinst voor het autosportlandschap. Deze klasse vertolkt een belangrijke rol in de ontwikkeling van mobiliteit voor de toekomst en ik kan niet wachten om daar betrokken bij te raken."
