Puebla, New York, Londen en Berlijn toegevoegd aan Formule E-schema

De organisatie van de Formule E heeft de kalender voor het lopende huidige seizoen verder aangevuld en afgerond. Ten opzichte van het vorige schema zijn Marrakesj in Marokko en Santiago de Chile in Chili geschrapt. Daarvoor in de plaats komen weekenden in Puebla, New York, Londen en Berlijn.

In alle gevallen betreft het double-headers, weekenden met twee races. Zo is de kalender voor het seizoen 2020/2021 compleet en bestaat het schema in totaal uit vijftien wedstrijden, waarvan er al vier zijn afgewerkt - twee in Diriyah en twee in Rome.

Komend weekend krijgt het Formule E-seizoen een vervolg in Valencia, voor de verandering op een permanent circuit en niet op een stratencircuit. Begin volgende maand staat ook nog een ePrix in Monaco op het programma.

De volledige Formule E-kalender voor 2020/2021 ziet er als volgt uit:

Valencia is gewoon het Ricardo del Toro circuit, maar waar de MotoGP op een gegeven moment linksaf gaat en een lus rijdt gaat de formula E rechtdoor richting de laatste bocht en komt er een extra chicane op het rechte stuk.

Ik maak me eigenlijk meer zorgen om Puebla, wat een testtrack is voor de plaatselijke Volkswagen fabriek en waar vroeger de wtcc wedstrijden reed om Seat te pleasen. Dat asfalt was zo abominabel slecht dat ik meende dat we in een parkeergarage rondreden

Waarom zoveel moeite om verschillende steden aan te doen? Gewoon een heel groot parkeerterrein bij een van die steden gebruiken en dan met de de muren// hek en steden een ander parcours maken. Niemand die het merkt, zeker in deze coronatijd.
