Vaxiviere doorbreekt dominantie Lotus, Visser een na laatste

Waar Lotus de vrijdag van het Formule V8-weekend op Silverstone domineerde, was het SMP Racing-coureur Matthieu Vaxiviere die de pole voor zich opeiste voor race een, die later vanmiddag wordt verreden. Vaxiviere start voor Orudzhev, Roy Nissany en Tom Dillmann pakten positie drie en vier. Beitske Visser kent tot dusver een lastig weekend. De Nederlandse hield alleen Giuseppa Cipraini achter zich.

Dillmann zal tevreden zijn met zijn kwalificatie. In zijn thuisrace liep het totaal niet, maar in Silverstone lijkt de leider in het kampioenschap de boel weer voor elkaar te hebben. Dillmann houdt concurrenten Deletraz en Panis achter zich en heeft andere belagers in zicht.

Voor Beitske Visser is de vorm dit weekend ver te zoeken. De Nederlandse lijkt maar niet in het ritme te komen van de snelle omloop van Silverstone. Vanmiddag om 14:00 uur doven de lichten voor de eerste race van het weekend.
