Bonanomi eenmalig terug bij RP Motorsport

Marco Bonanomi keert komend weekend eenmalig terug bij RP Motorsport. Voor dat team racete hij in 2002 in de Formule Renault 2.0. Dit keer slaan ze de handen ineen voor de Formule V8 3.5-ronde op de Red Bull Ring. Bonanomi was in 2008 voor het laatst actief in de World Series.

Nadien richtte de Italiaan zich op een carrière in de sportscars. Momenteel racet hij in de Blancpain Series en de ADAC GT Masters. Bonanomi: "Ik ben de Audi R18 LMP1-auto gewend, dus het zal wel even wennen zijn, maar ik hou van uitdagingen. Ik kijk ernaar uit om in de Formule V8 3.5-auto te rijden. Het is voor het eerst dat ik met deze versie van de wagen in actie kom, de bolide oogt krachtig en aantrekkelijk. Ik ga er alles aan doen om zo goed mogelijk voor de dag te komen met RP Motorsport."
