Deletraz pakt tweede pole van het seizoen, Visser knap zesde in kwalificatie

Titelkandidaat Louis Deletraz heeft op het circuit van Jerez de pole gehaald voor de tweede race van het Formule V8-weekend. De Zwitser was slechts 0.003 seconde sneller dan debutant Jack Aitken. Aitken kende gisteren ook al sterke trainingen, maar de GP3-coureur kende een slechte start en finishte als elfde. Beitske Visser kende een sterke kwalificatie en start de race als zesde.

De strijd om het kampioenschap nadert zijn climax. Tom Dillmann staat nog steeds bovenaan in het kampioenschap en was Deletraz gisteren na de race niet bestraft, dan was dat nu niet meer zo geweest. Dillmann start de tweede race van een teleurstellende dertiende plaats en zal alles moeten geven om de leiding in het kampioenschap te kunnen behouden.

Achter Deletraz en Aitken starten SMP-coureurs Vaxiviere en Isaakyan als derde en vierde. Isaakyan won gisteren zijn eerste Formule V8-race en zet zijn sterke vorm voort met een derde startplaats. De tweede race van het weekend start straks om 13:30 uur.
