Fortec Motorsports heeft komend seizoen een volledig Mexicaanse line-up in de Formule V8 3.5. De reeds eerder vastgelegde Alfonso Celis krijgt gezelschap van zijn door Telmex ondersteunde landgenoot Diego Menchaca. De 22-jarige Menchaca is afkomstig uit de Euroformula Open.

"Ik ben verguld om mijn loopbaan voor te zetten in de World Series Formule V8 3.5", begint de Mexicaan. "Het was een logische vervolgstap voor mij, aangezien ik vorig jaar al vaak in het voorprogramma van die klasse racete in de Euroformula Open. De wintertests gingen goed en ik kan niet wachten om weer achter het stuur te kruipen. Het raceweekend in Mexico wordt ongetwijfeld het absolute hoogtepunt van het jaar, met hordes Mexicaanse fans om ons aan te moedigen."
