Formule V8 ook in 2018 in voorprogramma WEC

De Formule V8 3.5 en het World Endurance Championship hebben het samenwerkingsverband verlengd voor 2018. De twee series sloegen dit jaar voor het eerst de handen ineen en dat is kennelijk van beide kanten bevallen. De Formule V8 staat ook volgend jaar in het voorprogramma van het merendeel van de WEC-evenementen.

De exacte kalender voor volgend seizoen wordt later deze zomer gepubliceerd. Vast staat in elk geval dat de Formule V8 ook in 2018 onderdeel uitmaakt van een aantal WEC-weekenden. Daarnaast looft het WEC ook tests met LMP- en GTE-bolides uit aan de top drie uit het Formule V8-kampioenschap. De top drie uit de Formule V8 verdient in 2018 voor het eerst ook prijzengeld.
