Jordan King verlengt bij Racing Engineering

Jordan King verdedigt ook komend seizoen de eer van Racing Engineering in de GP2. De Brit combineerde in 2015 werkzaamheden als reserve bij Manor met racen in het voorportaal in de Formule 1. In de GP2 scoorde hij zestig punten, mede dankzij een podiumplek in België.

Voor 2016 stelt hij zich het kampioenschap ten doel. King: "Ik sloot vorig jaar positief af doordat de FIA Institute me uitriep tot Rijder van het Jaar en door enkele goede resultaten in de laatste weekenden. Daardoor had ik vertrouwen voor de tests na het seizoen met Racing Engineering en daardoor hadden we de tijd om alles te doen dat nodig was."

"Dat gaf me het vertrouwen om bij dit team te blijven. Ik heb een goede relatie opgebouwd met de teamleden en continuïteit is veel waard in de opstapklasses. Zeker voor een jaar waarin ik voor de titel wil gaan. Ik voel me gesteund door Racing Engineering en weet dat ze alle zeilen bij zullen zetten om die ambitie te realiseren."
