Romain Grosjean meteen snelste tijdens eerste testdag

Romain Grosjean heeft bij zijn terugkeer naar de GP2 Series meteen een sterke indruk achter gelaten. De Fransman reed vandaag tijdens de eerste testdag in Abu Dhabi de snelste tijd, bijna een halve seconde voor Jules Bianchi. Giedo van der Garde eindigde als vierde.

In de ochtend werd er erg weinig gereden. Gisteren trok er een zandstorm over het circuit, waardoor de omstandigheden op de baan te slecht waren voor goed testwerk. 's Middags ging uiteindelijk wel iedereen de baan op en was Romain Grosjean uiteindelijk de snelste. De Fransman, die dit hele seizoen voor DAMS uitkomt, reed een 1:49.768 en was daarmee bijna een halve seconde sneller dan landgenoot Jules Bianchi.

Stefano Coletti kende een erg sterke dag. De Monegask in dienst van Trident reed slechts negen ronden, maar kwam wel tot de derde tijd. Giedo van der Garde moest uiteindelijk met zijn 1:50.474 zeven tienden toegeven op Grosjean met de vierde tijd. Zijn nieuwe teamgenoot Charles Pic volgde de Nederlander op slechts drie duizendsten.

Zie je wel die man heeft geen eerlijke kans gehad bij renault. Mede zelf schuldig door midden in het seizoen over te stappen terwijl hij dat jaar GP2 kampioen kon worden.

Ze moeten die HRT wagen eens gaan doneren, past precies bij de huidige GP2, worden ze misschien ook nog kampioen :P

Zeker de man om komend seizoen in de gaten te houden. Van der Garde gaat daar nog een taaie aan hebben.
