De Vries en Schothorst testen in Valencia

Nyck de Vries en Steijn Schothorst komen morgen en overmorgen in actie bij de GP3-test op het circuit van Valencia. Het is de tweede en voorlaatste test ter voorbereiding op het nieuwe seizoen. Later deze maand staat nog een tweedaagse sessie op het circuit van Barcelona op het programma.

Daar vangt in het weekend van 15 mei de nieuwe GP3-jaargang aan. De Vries en Schothorst vertegenwoordigen Nederland dit seizoen. De Vries zit bij topteam ART Grand Prix en sloot de vorige test af met een positie in de top vijf. Schothorst komt uit voor Campos Racing en bivakkeerde tijdens de eerste testweek voornamelijk in de staart van de middenmoot. We zullen de verrichtingen van de twee deze week in Valencia vanzelfsprekend nauwlettend in de gaten houden.

Dat zou je zeggen, maar ik kijk naar zijn coureursprofiel hiernaast en zie dat hij 1,65m lang is en 52 kg weegt.....daar krijgen constructeurs van een F1 wagen een harde plasser van.
Ik denk dat hij minimaal eens mag testen en dan weet je nooit hoe het met al zijn ervaring die hij inmiddels heeft... [Lees verder]

    De Vries moet dit jaar kampioen worden en volgend jaar GP2 rijden ( en ook kampioen worden binnen 2 jaar), anders is het uit met zijn F1 aspiraties.

      De Vries moet niets! Waarom denkt iedereen altijd zo makkelijk over het even winnen van titels? Zijn CV in de singelseaters is gewoon heel erg goed te noemen en waardig genoeg om het tot de F1 te brengen op basis van resultaten.

    Klein zijn heeft niet alleen voordelen, de enig echte grote kampioen die zo klein is, was Prost.
    Vettel, Schumacher, HAmilton, Alonso etc. zijn bijna allemaal rond de 1,75m.
    Als je klein bent heb je meestal ook minder kracht.

    Als Madurodam overweegt om Zandvoort te bouwen dan maakt hij zeker kans op een overwinning.

    Zou die 15 tot 20 kilo echt veel uitmaken? In de klasse waar hij rijdt of vorig jaar heeft gereden was hij toch ook niet per definitie de snelste of telt het daar minder mee?
