Pulcini voelt hete adem van ART-trio in zijn nek

Leonardo Pulcini heeft op de eerste dag van de laatste test ter voorbereiding op het nieuwe GP3-seizoen de beste tijd gerealiseerd. Op het Circuit de Catalunya nabij Barcelona snelde de Italiaan naar een 1:32.785. Daarmee troefde de Campos-coureur een trio van ART Grand Prix af.

Callum Ilott (tweede met een 1:32.797), Nikita Mazepin (derde met een 1:32.848) en Jake Hughes (vierde met een 1:32.971) konden niet voorkomen dat Pulcini er met de eer vandoor ging. Daarmee zijn ook meteen de enige vier coureurs onder de 1:33 genoemd.

Giuliano Alesi completeerde de top vijf met een 1:33.014. Dorian Boccolacci was op de negende plaats de snelste MP Motorsport-coureur met een 1:33.483, gevolgd door teamgenoot Niko Kari op P10 en Will Palmer - die nog niet bevestigd is voor het seizoen - op P13.
