Ganassi Racing trekt Tony Kanaan aan

Tony Kanaan verdedigt komend seizoen de kleuren van Target Chip Ganassi Racing in de IndyCar. Dat is vandaag in een persconferentie onthuld. Kanaan, winnaar van de Indy 500 in 2013, was de afgelopen jaren actief voor KV Racing.

De 38-jarige Braziliaan kwam in het verleden ook uit voor Andretti Autosport. Namens Andretti Green Racing sleepte hij in 2004 zijn enige IndyCar-titel in de wacht. Kanaan is bij Ganassi Racing de opvolger van Dario Franchitti, die bij een crash in Houston dit jaar dusdanig gewond raakte dat doorgaan onverantwoord was.
