Verizon nieuwe titelsponsor van de IndyCar Series

De IndyCar gaat voortaan officieel door het leven als Verizon IndyCar Series. Verizon heeft zich voor meerdere jaren als titelsponsor aan de Amerikaanse klasse verbonden. De firma is al vier jaar partner van de IndyCar en sponsorde ook de auto van Will Power.

Mark Miles, directeur van IndyCar-moederbedrijf Hulman & Co: "Verizon is de perfecte partner om de hoge mate van innovatie en technologie die onze tak van autosport rijk is tentoon te spreiden. IndyCar biedt Verizon een groot scala aan consumenten met een voorliefde voor de laatste snufjes op gebied van technologie. Verizon gelooft in de weg die onze serie is opgeslagen en stelt ons in staat om onze doelstellingen voor de lange termijn te verwezenlijken."

Het nieuwe IndyCar-seizoen start op 30 maart in St. Petersburg, Florida.
