Will Power stormt naar overwinning in Milwaukee

Will Power heeft op dominante wijze getriomfeerd in de ABC Supply Wisconsin 250 op de Milwaukee Mile. De Australiër leidde 229 van de 250 rondjes en boekte een overtuigende zege. Hij deelde het podium met Juan Pablo Montoya en Tony Kanaan.

Montoya en Kanaan waren de enige twee die Power nog enige tegenstand boden. Achter dat drietal finishten Scott Dixon en Josef Newgarden in de top vijf. Ryan Hunter-Reay was met een inhaalrace bezig vanaf P19, maar zijn materiaal liet hem in de steek.

Door zijn derde overwinning van het seizoen gaat Power nu fier aan de leiding in het kampioenschap. De coureur van Team Penske staat op 602 punten, 39 meer dan Helio Castroneves. Het IndyCar-seizoen 2014 heeft nog twee evenementen te gaan.
