IndyCar voegt Brasilia toe aan kalender voor 2015

De IndyCar keert volgend jaar terug naar Brazilië. Op 8 maart 2015 is het Autódromo Internacional Nelson Piquet in de hoofdstad Brasilia het toneel voor een race in de Amerikaanse klasse. Sao Paulo was in 2013 de laatste Braziliaanse gastheer van een IndyCar-wedstrijd.

Mark Miles, directeur van IndyCar-moederberijf Hulman & Company: "We zijn gretig om een nieuw hoofdstuk aan de rijke geschiedenis van de IndyCar in Brazilië toe te voegen met een evenement in Brasilia. Dit is een volgende stap in onze groei en we blijven nieuwe markten opzoeken om ons naar een hoger niveau te stuwen. We hebben over de hele wereld enthousiaste fans en die hopen we te belonen met opwindende evenementen, bijvoorbeeld in Brasilia."
