De Silvestro namens Andretti in Indy 500

Simona de Silvestro mag zich in mei proberen te kwalificeren voor de 99ste editie van de Indy 500. De 26-jarige Zwitserse heeft een plekje bemachtigd bij Andretti Autosport, dat vijf auto's inschrijft. Ze dankt haar stoeltje aan sponsor TE Connectivity.

De Silvestro: "Ik ben opgewonden om TE Connectivity dit jaar te vertegenwoordigen bij de Indy 500. Het is geweldig om dit bedrijf als partner aan mijn zijde te hebben en met hun geavanceerde technologie in mijn door Honda aangedreven auto maak ik straks in mei misschien wel kans om te winnen. Ik kan niet wachten om mijn wagen met startnummer 26 en de sponsoring van TE Connectivity in de 99ste editie van de Indy 500 te besturen."
