Saavedra en Karam delen auto van Ganassi

Sage Karam nam de eerste twee races van het IndyCar-seizoen voor zijn rekening, maar voor de ronde in Long Beach van komend weekend moet hij zijn auto afstaan aan Sebastian Saavedra. Chip Ganassi Racing heeft besloten dat de twee rijder elkaar deze jaargang afwisselen.

In Long Beach is het dus de beurt aan Saavedra. Karam keert op Barber Motorsports Park terug achter het stuur. "Het is mooi om terug te zijn in de IndyCar Series", begint Saavedra. "Dit is een geweldige kans voor mij om met een van de meest prestigieuze teams in de racewereld samen te werken. Ik ben Chip dan ook enorm dankbaar. Ik kijk ernaar uit om in Long Beach te racen en ga er alles aan doen om een mooi resultaat te behalen."
