IndyCar brengt in 2016 bezoek aan Boston

De IndyCar heeft een nieuwe racelocatie voor volgend seizoen aangekondigd. Boston zal in 2016 op de kalender prijken. Op een stratencircuit dat elf bochten telt en een lengte van 2,25 mijl heeft, zal de Amerikaanse stad in Labor Day Weekend gastheer zijn voor een race.

Mark Miles, directeur van IndyCar-moederbedrijf Hulman & Company: "Het enthousiasme dat we bij de gemeenschap in Boston proeven is fenomenaal en we kijken ernaar uit om onze serie aan de mensen in Boston tentoon te spreiden. De organisatie heeft hier hard voor gewerkt en die inspanningen resulteren voor 2016 in een Grand Prix of Boston. Een evenement in het noordoosten van de VS maakt een integraal deel uit van onze strategie om onze fanschare te vergroten."
