Daly neemt honneurs waar voor Hinchcliffe

Schmidt Peterson Motorsports heeft Conor Daly opgeroepen als vervanger voor James Hinchcliffe voor de dubbele race in Detroit. Hinchcliffe is herstellende van een operatie nadat hij bij een crash in een training voor de Indy 500 gewond raakte aan zijn dijbeen.

Daly reed al namens Schmidt Peterson Motorsports op de Indianapolis Motor Speedway en mag komend weekend dus weer voor het team aan de bak. "Ik ben vereerd dat ik in Detroit de honneurs waar zal nemen voor mijn vriend James. Ik ben de sponsors van het team dankbaar voor deze kans. Ik kijk ernaar uit om het werk met Schmidt Peterson Motorsports te continueren en het stoeltje van James warm te houden zolang hij uitgeschakeld is."
