Conor Daly terug als vervanger van Hinchliffe

Conor Daly neemt komend weekend in Toronto opnieuw de honneurs waar voor de geblesseerde James Hinchcliffe bij Schmidt Peterson Motorsports. De Amerikaan verving zijn Canadese collega in Detroit al. Op de Texas Motor Speedway kreeg Ryan Briscoe de voorkeur, maar die is dit weekend niet beschikbaar vanwege zijn deelname aan de 24 uur van Le Mans.

Daarom doet Schmidt Peterson Motorsports weer een beroep op Daly. "Voor Detroit spookten veel vragen door mijn hoofd. Kan ik het tempo van de rest volgen? Hoe lang heb ik nodig om op snelheid te komen? In Detroit waren de races intens, van voor naar achteren en van achter naar voren. We hebben alles meegemaakt en dus een heleboel geleerd. We hebben bewezen dat we vooraan mee kunnen doen en competitief zijn. Daar ben ik wel blij mee", aldus de Amerikaan.
