Mike Conway loopt gebroken been op, twee toeschouwers gewond

Mike Conway heeft geen ernstige verwondingen overgehouden aan zijn huiveringwekkende crash tijdens de Indy 500 vandaag. De Brit vloog de lucht in en tegen het grote veiligheidshek brak zijn auto in duizenden stukjes.

Het team van Conway, Dreyer & Reinbold, heeft zojuist bekend gemaakt dat de Brit een gebroken been heeft opgelopen bij de crash maar wel gewoon bij bewustzijn is geweest. Verder maakte de Indianapolis Motor Speedway bekend dat er twee toeschouwers gewond zijn geraakt bij de crash waarbij hechtingen zijn aangebracht.
