Marco Andretti krijgt derde positie terug in Indy 500

De wedstrijdleiding van de Indy 500 heeft besloten dat Marco Andretti zijn derde plaats in de uitslag terugkrijgt. Andretti kwam als zesde over de streep doordat er verwarring was ontstaan bij de laatste Full Course Yellow.

Bij die laatste Safety-Car werd Andretti ingehaald door Danica Patrick, Scott Dixon en Alex Lloyd. Na afloop beklaagde Andretti zich hierover en de wedstrijdleiding oordeelde dat de Amerikaan zijn derde positie terugkrijgt. Hierdoor eindigt Lloyd als vierde, Dixon als vijfde en Patrick als zesde.
