Ryan Hunter-Reay mag seizoen afmaken bij Andretti Autosport

Ryan Hunter-Reay mag ook de resterende races van het IndyCar-seizoen bij Andretti Autosport rijden. Het team heeft genoeg sponsorgeld bij elkaar gekregen om de bolide van Hunter-Reay verder te laten rijden.

Hunter-Reay kreeg op het begin van het seizoen toestemming om enkele races te rijden vanwege het limiet aan het budget. Door nieuwe sponsorovereenkomsten kan de Braziliaan echter ook de rest van het seizoen in actie komen voor Andretti Autosport. "Je kan je niet voorstellen hoe opgelucht ik nu ben", vertelde Hunter-Reay.

"Zoveel mensen, zoveel partners, zoveel sponsoren hebben dit allemaal mogelijk gemaakt door hun handen ineen te slaan. Ik wil deze echt bedanken, naast Michael Andretti en Andretti Autosport voor hun vertrouwen in mij."

Hunter-Reay scoorde in Long Beach eerder dit jaar de eerste overwinning van Andretti in twee jaar tijd en staat momenteel zevende in de tussenstand.
