Wegen van AFS Racing en Andretti Autosport scheiden

AFS Racing en Andretti Autosport gaan uit elkaar. AFS Racing sloot drie jaar geleden een samenwerkingsverband met Andretti Autosport voor de Indy Lights en dat mondde de afgelopen twee seizoenen ook uit in drie gezamenlijke optredens in de IRL IndyCars.

De relatie komt nu tot een eind, AFS Racing gaat proberen om op eigen benen te staan. AFS-baas Gary Peterson: Het was een succesvol partnerschap met Andretti Autosport, maar het is tijd voor beide organisaties om nieuwe dingen te beproeven. Ik heb genoten van het werk met Michael Andretti en de ontwikkeling van jonge talent voor eenzitters. Ik verwacht van AFS Racing een sterk programma in de Indy Lights en we blijven werken richting het grotere doel van auto's in de IRL IndyCars inzetten op vaste basis.
