Newman/Haas test met Oriol Servia en James Hinchcliffe

Oriol Servia en James Hinchcliffe stappen voor de test van 13 en 14 december op het circuit van Sebring in de auto van Newman/Haas. Servia racete al eerder voor het team, voor Hinchcliffe betreft het de eerste kennismaking met een IRL IndyCars-auto.

Servia: Ik ben natuurlijk opgewonden, niet alleen om weer in een racewagen plaats te nemen, maar ook om terug te keren bij Newman/Haas. Elke keer dat ik voor dit team reed waren we in staat om verbeteringen te maken en resultaten te leveren. De engineers behoren tot de besten in de sport en de teamleden werken keihard. Dat zorgt voor de situatie dat je als coureur alleen met je prestaties bezig hoeft te zijn en dat is ideaal.

Hinchcliffe: Ik kan niet uitdrukken hoe blij ik met deze kans ben. Ik ben opgegroeid met het kijken van de IndyCars op tv en toen droomde ik om er ooit zelf in te rijden, dus dit is een droom die uitkomt. Deze test is een eerste stap richting een fulltime racestoeltje in de IndyCars. Ik ga proberen zoveel mogelijk te leren en ga gewoon mijn best doen.
