Kanaan raakt stoeltje bij De Ferran Dragon Racing kwijt

Tony Kanaan is weer beschikbaar voor geïnteresseerde IndyCar-teams. De Braziliaan was in december 2010 nog gepresenteerd als coureur bij De Ferran Dragon Racing, maar de veteraan krijgt het gewenste sponsorbedrag niet bij elkaar en dus gaat de overeenkomst niet door.

Kanaan deelde aan de Indianapolis Star mede: Ik had wat geld verzameld, maar het was niet genoeg. Nu is de vraag: wie doet mij een aanbod en voor hoeveel races? Het valt me zwaar, helemaal omdat het een maand voor de start van het nieuwe seizoen is. Het is betreurenswaardig, maar ik blijf knokken en zal ergens een plek om te racen vinden.
