Firestone draait besluit terug en gaat door in IndyCar

Een opmerkelijke beslissing vandaag van Firestone. De bandenfabrikant heeft bekend gemaakt de IndyCar Series toch niet de rug toe te keren. Vorige week besloot Firestone na het seizoen 2011 uit de raceklasse te stappen, maar tot opluchting van de teams is Firestone ook in 2012 nog de officiële bandenleverancier.

De IndyCar Series introduceert in 2012 een geheel nieuwe auto en daarom willen de teams halverwege dit jaar al testen met dezelfde banden. Vandaag maakte Firestone bekend dat het in 2012 én 2013 nog de bandenleverancier van de IndyCar Series is.
