Sebastian Saavedra tekent bij Conquest Racing

Conquest Racing heeft een eerste naam voor het nieuwe IndyCar-seizoen aangekondigd. Sebastian Saavedra, een 20-jarige coureur uit Colombia, is voor het seizoen 2011 vastgelegd. Saavedra reed vorig jaar al de seizoensfinale in Homestead voor Conquest Racing en dwong in de wintertests een contract voor het komende seizoen af.

Teambaas Eric Bachelart: We zijn verguld om Sebastian bij ons te hebben, dit keer voor een complete jaargang. Het was een genot om vorig jaar in de seizoensfinale met hem samen te werken en hetzelfde geldt voor de test in Sebring van vorige week. Sebastian heeft het beide keren geweldig gedaan en we mogen mooie dingen van hem verwachten voor 2011. Het stemt ons ook tevreden dat we onze traditie om jonge opkomende coureurs een kans te bieden om naar een hoger niveau te groeien in stand houden.
