Ryan Briscoe is Power te snel af in tweede vrije training

Ryan Briscoe heeft vandaag tijdens de tweede vrije training in Long Beach de snelste tijd gereden. De Australiër was zijn Penske-teamgenoot Will Power te snel af. Ryan Hunter-Reay eindigde wederom sterk, nu als derde.

Hunter-Reay, die vorig jaar de race in Long Beach op zijn naam schreef, stond lange tijd aan kop van de tijdenlijst. In de slotminuten kwam Penske echter opzetten met Ryan Briscoe en Will Power. Beide teamgenoten waren 0.148 seconden van elkaar gescheiden. Hunter-Reay werd daardoor teruggedrukt naar de derde tijd, gevolgd door Scott Dixon en Alex Tagliani.
