Oud-winnaar Buddy Rice met Panther naar Indy 500

Buddy Rice keert terug in de Indianapolis 500. Rice won in 2004 de meest prestigieuze race van Amerika met Rahal Letterman, maar keert nu terug naar Panther Racing. Hier wordt hij de teamgenoot van JR Hildebrand.

"Ik ben blij dat ik bij Panther de race kan rijden en onze intentie is om aan meer races deel te nemen dit jaar", vertelde Rice. "Dit is de eerste stap en ik ben hier vooral om Panther en JR verder te helpen. Ik wilde best terugkeren, maar dan moet ik wel goed materiaal tot m'n beschikking hebben en de kans om de zege te pakken. Ik wilde niet alleen maar rondjes rijden."

"Panther is een team dat races kan winnen, dus ik kon deze kans niet aan me voorbij laten gaan."
