Tung kan niet deelnemen aan tweede kwalificatie na crash

Ho-Pin Tung kan vandaag niet deelnemen aan de tweede kwalificatie voor de Indy 500. De Nederlandse Chinees crashte gisteren hard tijdens Pole Day en werd afgevoerd naar het ziekenhuis. Daar was de diagnose dat hij een hersenschudding op heeft gelopen. Dit betekent echter nog niet dat Tung geen Indy 500 kan rijden.

Morgen tijdens Bump Day had Tung zijn auto nog kunnen kwalificeren, maar hij mag de komende week geen auto meer besturen. Als zijn team morgen een reservecoureur de auto laat kwalificeren, heeft Tung alsnog kans dat hij kan deelnemen aan de race die volgende week zondag wordt verreden.
