Ganassi domineert tweede training New Hampshire met 1-2-3

Dario Franchitti heeft zojuist ook de tweede training op de Motor Speedway van New Hampshire als snelste afgesloten. De Schotse coureur was vanmiddag in de eerste sessie al de sterkste en vanavond bleef hij teamgenoten Scott Dixon en Graham Rahal voor.

Dixon kwam 0.053 seconden tekort op de tijd van Franchitti en eindigde als tweede. Graham Rahal, die racet voor het satelliet-team van Ganassi, zorgde voor een 1-2-3 door de derde tijd te rijden met een achterstand van een tiende. KV Racing, die eerder op de dag met Tony Kanaan en Takuma Sato al erg sterk voor de dag kwamen, eindigden met drie bolides in de top zes. Kanaan voerde het trio aan met de vierde tijd, gevolgd door Sato en EJ Viso.

James Hinchcliffe liet ook een sterke indruk achter en was de snelste rookie met de zevende tijd. Oriol Servia, Ryan Hunter-Reay en Charlie Kimball completeerden de top tien. Will Power lijkt bezig aan een zeer moeizaam weekend. Wederom kwam de Australiër niet verder dan een tijd in de achterhoede. Ditmaal moest hij genoegen nemen met de negentiende stek.
